Alex was a very smart and brave kid solving mysteries at school. Making forts at home. But he had one fear. Well it wasn’t really a fear. He always thought that he felt a presence in his closet. One day he decided to go see what was in there. He grabbed his pretend sword and shield and went in. He moved some unfamiliar items and there he found a vortex! And he climbed in.

Alex started to feel cold he looked around and he saw snow lots and lots of snow and he saw footprints! He followed them and fell down down down! He was in a deep dark pit. He heard a creature coming from a little door. He still had his sword and shield, now gleaming metal he could defend himself. He was ready to swing his sword when the creature spoke. “Human what brings you to our universe? We have been at war for over ten thousand years so I thought you were one of those guys.

Alex was speechless he tried to say something but he couldn’t. The creature showed Alex his colony’s home it was a broken down starship. Alex agreed to fight with the creature and then he saw someone familiar.” Hector!” Alex shouted. Hector was Alex’s friend. “Hector came here a long time ago and he has been fighting with us ever since,” said the creature. Hector and Alex talked about the snow planet and how to get home.

Suddenly the ground began to shake, a tractor beam! The creature yelled “prepare yourself!” The doors began opening and an army appeared before them. They charged. Alex defeated one, it had a golden sword, he picked it up then the prince came in and Hector and Alex ran. They found more of the creature’s army trapped in a bulletproof glass cage.

Then they ran into a trap. The doors opened into a room, they went out and millions of guards came pouring out. They fought and fought and when one of the brave kids got tired the other one took over. After hours of fighting the prince came out. He was fast. He was strong but somehow the boys managed to hang on. It was clear none of them could defeat the enemy alone.

But then Alex found a little metal pole and swung it at the prince and he came crashing to the ground. Then they got into an escape pod and they flew off.

The end for now.
